The SRF Decides to Strengthen Cooperation with ARD and ORF

The Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) is expanding its collaboration with the public broadcasters ARD in Germany and ORF in Austria. Representatives of the three broadcasters agreed to produce joint productions worth 140 million euros at a meeting in Munich, according to SRF's newsletter on Friday. For many decades, the three broadcasters have already produced formats together, including the "Tatort". The existing collaboration is to be extended to other formats, including series and multi-part films, animal and nature films, as well as cultural and knowledge formats. According to SRF director Nathalie Wappler, the public media houses are under pressure in all three countries.
