Woman on Mountain Hiking in Guttannen BE Fatally Injured

On Monday afternoon, a woman tragically died while hiking in Guttannen in the Bernese Oberland. The accident was reported shortly after 12.20 pm. According to initial findings, several people had set out on a hike from Sommerloch to the Juchlibach waterfall when the woman fell from an unknown cause over a cliff into the Grimselsee. Emergency services were able to rescue the woman from the water with the help of third parties and a boat, but it was too late and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
