SVP Wins a Seat in the Canton of St. Gallen

The Swiss People's Party (SVP) has gained a seat in the St. Gallen National Council elections, taking the total number of seats to five. The Green Liberals lost one seat, leaving the Free Democratic Party (FDP), the Centre Party and the Social Democratic Party (SP) with two seats each, and the Greens with one seat. This result gives the SVP a majority in the St. Gallen National Council.
