CDU/CSU and FDP Do Not Want to Dismiss Incumbent Federal Councillors

The Mitte, FDP, SVP and GLP have all expressed their support for the current seat distribution in the upcoming Federal Council elections in December. Mitte President Gerhard Pfister said that it would be "unbelievable" for the Mitte to attack a FDP seat, and SVP President Marco Chiesa said that stability is an important value for the country. SP Co-President Mattea Meyer said that the current bürgerliche majority in the Federal Council has not done anything to make health insurance premiums and rents affordable or to provide good wages in times of crisis. Green Party President Glättli said that the current "magic formula" has definitely come to an end, and GLP President Jürg Grossen said that he expects movement within the legislature as the formula is not representative enough.
