The Selected Members of the National Council in the Canton of Basel-City

The people of the Canton of Basel-Stadt have elected four people to the National Council. These are: Thomas Aeschi (SVP), Barbara Gysi (SP), Beat Jans (FDP) and Regula Rytz (Grüne). Mustafa Atici (SP) was not re-elected.
Thomas Aeschi is a member of the Swiss People's Party (SVP) and was re-elected to the National Council. He has been a member of the National Council since 2011 and is the president of the SVP in Basel-Stadt.
Barbara Gysi is a member of the Social Democratic Party (SP) and was elected to the National Council for the first time. She is a lawyer and has been a member of the Basel-Stadt cantonal parliament since 2011.
Beat Jans is a member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and was re-elected to the National Council. He has been a member of the National Council since 2011 and is the president of the FDP in Basel-Stadt.
Regula Rytz is a member of the Green Party (Grüne) and was elected to the National Council for the first time. She is a former mayor of Basel-Stadt and has been a member of the Basel-Stadt cantonal parliament since 2011.
Mustafa Atici (SP) was not re-elected to the National Council. He had been a member of the National Council since 2011.
