Driver dies after collision on A6 near Studen BE

On Sunday evening, a 67-year-old driver was fatally injured in a head-on collision with another car on the A6 near Studen BE. The 83-year-old female driver of the other car was seriously injured and taken to hospital by Rega.
For unexplained reasons, the driver drove in the opposite direction onto the A6 towards Biel at the Studen exit, as reported by the Bern cantonal police on Monday. There he collided head-on with the female driver, who was coming from Biel. The accident is being investigated.
The 67-year-old died at the scene of the accident, it was reported. The A6 between Brügg and Lyss Nord was closed for several hours.
