SBB has to postpone the start of construction of the new industrial plant in Ticino

The Federal Office of Transport has given the green light for the plans for the new industrial plant in Arbedo-Castione TI. As the approval is not yet legally binding and two objections are pending, SBB will have to postpone the start of construction from the beginning of December.
SBB wants to use the time to "optimize" the project and reduce costs, as they announced on Thursday. Due to the current economic situation, the planned expenditure for the construction of the new industrial plant has increased significantly.
