Young politician David Noser from Zurich has joined the GLP. The 19-year-old is the son of former FDP Councillor of States Ruedi Noser and ran for the 2023 National Council elections on the Young Liberals list. He left the party shortly after the elections.

David Noser announced his membership of the GLP on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. He is delighted to now be a member of "the most liberal party in Switzerland", said Noser.

He announced his resignation from the Young Liberals around two weeks ago. Noser had previously recommended the Green Liberal Tiana Moser for the second round of the Council of States. However, the FDP officially supported Gregor Rutz (SVP).
