Openair St. Gallen announced the first acts for next year's edition of the festival on Tuesday evening. Among others, Kings of Leon, AnnenMayKantereit and Ski Aggu will be performing in the Sittertobel.
The US band Kings of Leon will return to the festival after more than ten years, the organizers wrote in a press release. The German band AnnenMayKantereit will also give an exclusive concert in Switzerland at the 2025 festival.
Joya Marleen will have a home game. The journey for Appenzell songwriter Riana and Graubünden rapper Gigi will not be far either. Zurich singer Faber and Biel vocal talent Nemo are also on the program.
The festival's headliners are mainly from Germany, including Ski Aggu, Berlin rapper Pashanim and techno duo Brutalismus 3000, who also hail from the German capital. Also from Berlin, but with a different style of music in their luggage, are punk rockers Beatsteaks.
The festival will take place from June 26 to 29, 2025. The organizers want to communicate further performances by the end of February 2025. A total of over 70 acts are expected to be on the program. Tickets for the festival go on sale next Friday.
