Blick" writes the following online about Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider's move from the Department of Justice to the Department of Home Affairs:
"Baume-Schneider is fleeing from the SVP. The former SP Minister of Justice no longer wants to deal with the asylum dossier. She is moving to the Department of Home Affairs. Federal Council newcomer Beat Jans becomes migration minister. Many are unhappy about this. (...) Behind the scenes, it is said that Baume-Schneider is fleeing from the constant attacks by the SVP. (...) There are also rumors from circles close to Baume-Schneider that the tasks in the FDHA are closer to the former social worker than migration issues and law. (...) It is widely doubted that Baume-Schneider will be able to master these."
