Volodymyr Selensky has landed in Switzerland

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Switzerland. He will be received in Bern on Monday by President Viola Amherd and Federal Councillors Ignazio Cassis and Beat Jans. On Tuesday he will travel to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
The Ukrainian plane with Zelenskyi on board landed at Zurich Airport at 11.30 a.m. on Monday, as a Keystone-SDA reporter observed. Selenskyj is the second high-ranking guest to be welcomed by President Amherd in Bern on the same day, after China's Prime Minister Li Qiang.
Zelensky is coming to Switzerland for the first time since the start of the war. However, the President's wife Olena Selenska and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba have already visited the country before him.
The area around the Federal Palace in Bern has been cordoned off since the morning for security reasons due to the high number of visitors, and access to the parliament building is restricted. The Bundesplatz was cordoned off, as a reporter from the Keystone-SDA news agency reported.
