Woman allegedly killed by violence in Binningen BL identified

The woman found dead in Binningen BL on Tuesday has been identified: She is a 38-year-old Swiss woman. Her husband, a 41-year-old Swiss man, who has been arrested, is presumed to be responsible for her death. The couple have two children who are being cared for, as the Basel police announced on Thursday.
According to a press release, the Basel-Landschaft public prosecutor's office is assuming a homicide and has opened criminal proceedings against the man. It has applied to the compulsory measures court for pre-trial detention. The presumption of innocence applies.
