Pilatus Aircraft Works celebrated a triumphant 2023, setting a delivery record with 148 aircraft. Based in Stans, the company witnessed a notable rise in operating profit alongside this achievement.

Sales surged by 10% to nearly 1.5 billion Swiss francs, paralleled by a 6% increase in operating profit. The future looks bright for Pilatus, with orders worth 1.5 billion Swiss francs keeping the production line busy. Last year’s deliveries included 47 PC-24s and 101 PC-12s, as per a recent announcement.

Despite its success, Pilatus faced challenges, particularly with supply chain disruptions that adversely affected production. Nevertheless, the company’s growth as a major employer is evident, with its workforce reaching 2,848 full-time positions by year-end.

In a strategic move to enhance production capabilities, Pilatus plans to integrate all 230 employees and the machinery from Ruag Aerostructures Switzerland in Emmen by 2024.

Pilatus’s resilience and strategic planning underscore its robust performance in 2023, positioning it for continued success in the aviation sector.
