Federal Council to decide on Jordan successor in due course

In due course, the Federal Council will decide on the successor to National Bank Chairman Thomas Jordan, who will step down in September. In a reaction on Friday, the national government thanked him for his "commitment over the years".
As always, the Federal Council will make the succession decision in the knowledge of a proposal from the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), as Federal Council Spokesperson André Simonazzi said at a media conference of the national government on Friday. The SNB had announced Jordan's resignation in the morning.
