Young man seriously injured with a knife in Herisau AR

A 19-year-old was allegedly seriously injured with a knife in Herisau AR on Sunday night. The police arrested a suspect.
Shortly before 4.45 a.m., the canton's emergency call center received a report of a seriously injured person in a residential area, the Appenzell Ausserrhoden cantonal police announced on Sunday. The emergency services then came across the 19-year-old.
The man received medical treatment and was immediately taken to hospital. According to the current state of knowledge, he is out of danger.
The police subsequently arrested a 25-year-old man. The relationship between the two men and the circumstances that led to the crime are now being investigated, the police wrote.
