The St. Gallen cantonal police have arrested ten people during a check in a club in Sennwald SG. They were in breach of the Foreign Nationals and Integration Act, as the police reported on Friday.

The two managing directors of the club are among those arrested. The 49-year-old Serb and the 48-year-old Montenegrin had employed third-country nationals without authorization.

During their check on Thursday, the police also arrested seven women and one man suspected of having entered Switzerland illegally and of having worked without valid work permits.

A police spokesman told the Keystone-SDA news agency that it is now necessary to clarify what kind of services the singers and dancers found in the club were offering.

According to the press release, the workers are women aged between 25 and 53 with citizenship from Serbia, Kosovo and Albania.

The arrested persons will be reported to the public prosecutor's office of the Canton of St.Gallen. The responsible migration office is examining measures under immigration law, the press release added.
