95-year-old dies in a fall while hiking in the canton of Solothurn

A 95-year-old man fell down a steep slope and died during a hike in the canton of Solothurn on Saturday. The body was discovered in rough terrain in Balm near Günsberg below a ridge.
The Solothurn cantonal police announced on Sunday that there were no indications of third party involvement. According to the authorities, the man had previously been walking between the Balmberg and the Niederwiler Stierenberg. The body was found at around 1.30 p.m. south of a connecting road.
