The Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) is expanding its activities in the field of emergency rescue. It is taking over the Vaud-based company ASV Ambulances, based in Rennaz VD. All employees will keep their jobs.

Specifically, the ambulance service will in future be part of TCS Swiss Ambulance Rescue, as announced by TCS on Monday. No changes to the company's internal organization are planned.

ASV Ambulances reportedly employs 25 people. The company mainly operates in the Chablais and Riviera districts. It has four ambulances and carries out around 3,500 emergency operations every year, which are requested via the 144 number.

Together with ASV Ambulances, the company will be present in seven cantons in the future and carry out around 35,000 missions per year, according to the TCS press release.

TCS founded its ambulance service division in Geneva in 2021 and made two acquisitions the following year. According to the press release, TCS Swiss Ambulance Rescue is now the largest private player in this sector in Switzerland - with more than 50 vehicles, 17 bases and more than 200 employees.
