Eight dead and six missing after two weekends of severe weather

After two devastating weekends of storms, first in the southern Graubünden valley of Misox and then in Valais and Ticino, the results are shocking: eight people died in total and six were still missing on Wednesday.
A man remained missing in Misox, while a woman who had previously been reported missing was rescued alive from the masses of rubble over the weekend, according to the cantonal authorities of Graubünden.
In Valais, a man died in Saas-Grund and one person was still missing in the Binn region. And in Ticino, a fifth fatality was only recovered in the Maggia Valley on Wednesday; four other people are still missing.
