Major fire department operation due to fire in Bischofszell TG

A fire with thick smoke has broken out in a residential and commercial building in Bischofszell TG. Various fire departments are in action. So far, there are no injuries.
On Monday afternoon, a fire broke out in Bischofszell with a column of smoke visible from afar, as first reported by 20 Minuten online. A residential and commercial building was on fire, explained Daniel Meili, spokesman for the Thurgau cantonal police, when asked by the Keystone-SDA news agency.
The area has since been cordoned off due to heavy smoke. According to initial findings, there are no injuries.
The federal alert system, Alert Swiss, asked the population to close windows and doors and turn off the ventilation in their homes due to the heavy smoke.
