Ten people evacuated after fire in Freiburg city center

Ten people were evacuated on Monday night due to a fire in the city center of Freiburg. Two people were taken to hospital for a check-up.
According to the cantonal police, the fire broke out shortly after midnight in a commercial and residential building on Rue de Romont. The fire department brought the flames under control. The source of the fire was located in a store on the second floor of the building.
Two business premises and one apartment can no longer be used for the time being. The cause of the fire is the subject of ongoing investigations. The cantonal police did not provide any information on the amount of property damage.
