Bern police seize a ton of hashish

Police have seized around a tonne of hashish and marijuana in raids in the cantons of Bern and Fribourg this week. Several people were provisionally arrested, as reported by the Bern cantonal police on Friday.
They were supported by the Fribourg cantonal police in their targeted action against drug trafficking. Vehicles were also searched. In addition to hashish and marijuana, over nine kilograms of MDMA in pill form (ecstasy) and as a powder were discovered, as well as several hundred grams of cocaine and some amphetamine.
Pre-trial detention has been requested for those arrested. Further investigations are underway, it was reported.
