Police operation in Martigny due to letter with unknown powder

A police operation was carried out in Martigny VS on Wednesday morning due to a suspicious powder in a letter sent to an insurance company. Three employees of the company who came into contact with the letter were isolated as a precautionary measure and underwent medical checks on site.
The rapid reaction of the employees meant that it was not necessary to evacuate the affected premises, according to the Valais cantonal police. Investigations are underway. Specialists have taken the envelope in order to carry out detailed analyses.
