For security reasons, the Lufthansa Group has stopped its flights to the Lebanese capital Beirut - including Swiss. Initially, five outbound and return flights were canceled up to and including Tuesday, as the Group reported in Frankfurt.
In addition to Swiss, Lufthansa and Eurowings are affected with two connections each.
After at least twelve people were killed in a rocket attack in the Druze village of Majdal Shams on the Golan Heights annexed by Israel on Saturday, the Israeli government is preparing for a retaliatory strike. It holds Hezbollah responsible for the attack. The Shiite militia declared that it had nothing to do with the attack.
