Cyclist dies in collision with car in Cortaillod NE

A 67-year-old cyclist died in a collision with a car in Cortaillod NE on Monday. The man, who lived in the region, died at the scene of the accident.
He collided with the oncoming vehicle at an intersection at around 9.20 a.m. and was thrown onto the road, according to the Neuchâtel cantonal police. The 28-year-old female driver, who also lives in the canton of Neuchâtel, was not physically injured but suffered a shock.
The road was closed to traffic for five hours after the accident. The public prosecutor's office has launched a criminal investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
