Locally hottest day of the year before the drop in temperature

Saturday brought Switzerland another summery high temperature. Locally, it was even the hottest day of the year - for example in Basel with 35.4 degrees.
This was announced by MeteoSwiss on the X platform on Saturday. The hottest day of the year so far was recorded in Basel, Vaduz in Liechtenstein with 33.2 degrees and Altdorf UR, Bad Ragaz SG and Oberriet-Kriessern SG with 32.8 degrees each. Sunday will be followed by a significant drop in temperatures in the north.
