German police officers have caught a bus traveler with more than one hundred thousand euros in counterfeit money at the Swiss border. According to the Freiburg police headquarters on Friday, the 50-year-old was caught on Thursday when a coach coming from Switzerland was checked at the Weil am Rhein border crossing.
The federal police found a three-digit number of counterfeits with a face value of around 110,000 euros on the man's person. They were therefore color copies.
A pre-trial detention order was issued against the suspect, which was suspended subject to conditions. Further investigations were carried out by the Lörrach criminal investigation department.
