The health insurance company Swica has nominated Werner Kübler as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Kübler is to replace Carlo Conti at the head of the Board of Directors in June.

The 70-year-old Conti has been president for ten years and is stepping down due to the statutory age limit, as Swica wrote on Wednesday. The Board of the Swica Health Organization Association is proposing Kübler to the delegates as the new Chairman of the Association. This is linked to the nomination for the chairmanship of the Swica Board of Directors. The official election will then take place at the Assembly of Delegates in June 2025.

Kübler holds a doctorate in medicine and business administration and has worked at the University Hospital Basel (USB) since 2003. He has been Director there since January 2008 and will remain so until April 2025. Thanks to his role, Kübler is also well connected in the association landscape. Among other things, he was Vice President of the H+ Hospital Association and a board member of the Swiss Employers' Association.
