A former board member of the Kapers cabin crew union admitted in court in Bülach on Wednesday to diverting over 500,000 francs for his own purposes. The 44-year-old diverted the money from the union account to his private account.

The aim had never been to increase his private assets, the accused said in court. He had been put under pressure by third parties to send them money. The background was virtual games. Taking the money from Kapers was the "easiest way".

The German said that he had always expected - and hoped - to be exposed because second parties had to release the transfers. The man was already convicted of forgery and attempted fraud in the canton of Bern in 2017. He was in a stressful situation at the time.
