Robbery at petrol station in Novazzano

Two unknown robbers held up a petrol station in Novazzano TI on Friday evening. At gunpoint, they forced an employee to hand over the contents of the till. With a getaway driver waiting outside, they fled in a car in the direction of Italy.
The search for them was unsuccessful in the evening, according to the cantonal police. No one was injured during the robbery. The municipal police of Chiasso and Mendrisio and the border police took part in the manhunt.
