Woman seriously injured by partner in Le Locle NE

A 45-year-old man has seriously injured his 33-year-old partner with a pointed weapon in Le Locle NE. The woman was taken to hospital by helicopter. According to the police, the partner was arrested at the scene without resistance.
The crime took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday in the entrance hall of a residential building, as the Neuchâtel police reported on Monday. The victim is a Swiss woman and the alleged perpetrator is a Turk. Both live in the canton of Neuchâtel. The couple's children have been taken into care. They have been placed with family members.
The public prosecutor's office initiated a criminal investigation. The alleged perpetrator was taken into police custody for further proceedings.
