The stock exchange operator SIX is surprisingly getting a new boss. Bjørn Sibbern will take over as CEO at the beginning of 2025.

Sibbern, currently head of the stock exchange at SIX, will succeed Jos Dijsselhof, who is leaving the Group after seven years, according to a press release issued on Thursday. He wants to take on a new professional challenge in the Middle East.

Sibbern joined at the beginning of 2024 from Nasdaq, where he was President of European Markets. As Global Head Exchanges, the Dane is currently responsible for the SIX Swiss Exchange, the Spanish stock exchange BME and the digital exchange SDX.
