The property manager of the Sugus houses in Zurich, which are known throughout Switzerland, has been arrested. The Zurich cantonal police made the arrest.
The administrator of the properties was arrested on behalf of the Schwyz public prosecutor's office in the canton of Zurich, the Zurich cantonal police confirmed to the Keystone-SDA news agency in a report by the NZZ on Wednesday afternoon.
Several criminal charges have been brought against the real estate manager, primarily for dishonest management. He is said to have caused 16 bankruptcies and left millions in outstanding claims. The vacancies in the Sugus buildings have been a matter of public and political concern since they became known.
