The Swiss government has pledged 860,000 Swiss francs to support migration structures in Croatia over the next two years. This was announced on Friday after a contract was signed between the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and UNICEF Croatia. The money will be used to expand the existing cooperation between the two countries in order to support all children and families affected by migration and ensure that they are adequately cared for and integrated into Croatian society. On Thursday, SEM head Christine Schraner Burgener travelled to Croatia to meet with Croatian State Secretary for European and International Affairs, Terezija Gras. During their meeting, they discussed the current challenges both countries face in the area of migration. The Swiss government's pledge of 860,000 Swiss francs will help to address these challenges and ensure that those affected by migration are provided with the necessary support and resources to integrate into Croatian society.
