Thousands of Kurds and their supporters demonstrated in Lausanne on Saturday afternoon to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, which buried their dream of an autonomous state. The participants gathered at Ouchy at 1:30 pm, according to a reporter from Keystone-SDA on the spot. Later, speeches were to be held in front of the Palais de Rumine, where the Treaty of Lausanne was signed on July 24, 1923.
