Air Traffic in Switzerland Below Pre-Corona Level

Skyguide, the Swiss air navigation service provider, reported that in the first half of 2020, 6.7% more flights were controlled than in the same period of the previous year. However, compared to the first half of 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of controls was 11.8% lower. 98.2% of flights were on time. The stagnation in May and June was attributed to bad weather in Europe and strikes of the French air navigation service since January. By the end of June, the controlled flights had reached 90.5% of the traffic volume compared to the same period in 2019.
