143-km/h gale force wind on the Säntis AI

A gale-force gust of 143 kilometers per hour (km/h) was measured on Säntis AI on Thursday. According to Meteonews Switzerland, the winds will increase in height on Friday. There is a high risk of avalanches from Valais to Graubünden.
After the Säntis, strong gusts of wind were also measured on the Pilatus OW (126 km/h) and Titlis OW (124 km/h), Meteonews Switzerland announced on Thursday via the news service X (formerly Twitter).
In the Alpine region, the Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF) reported a high avalanche risk for Friday from Valais via Glarus to eastern Switzerland and Graubünden. More spontaneous avalanches are to be expected.
