The thermometer briefly climbed above 20 degrees in several places in Switzerland on Friday. It was warmest in the afternoon in Ticino, where 21.8 degrees were measured in Biasca, and in north-western Switzerland at just over 20 degrees.

The thermometer also reached 20.6 degrees in Delsberg in the Jura and 20.5 degrees in Basel/Binningen, according to the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology (MeteoSwiss).

In Valais, Sion also reached exactly 20 degrees. For Geneva, 19.9 degrees was no longer enough for an early summer day. And 19.2 degrees were measured in Zurich-Kloten.

Saturday, however, will be a cold shower: in the north, the morning in particular will be wet, later a strong wind will blow and the thermometer will not climb above 10 to 12 degrees, in the south it will still be around 16 degrees. The same on Sunday, with additional thunderstorms.
