68 flights were affected by the Skyguide incident at Zurich Airport on Friday afternoon. 18 take-offs and 19 landings had to be canceled.
In addition, there were 31 flights with delays of up to two hours, as Zurich Airport reported on Saturday at the request of Keystone-SDA.
Due to an IT glitch at Skyguide air traffic control, no planes were able to take off from 3.00 to 4.30 pm. The number of aircraft landing was reduced by half during these 90 minutes.
As Skyguide announced on Friday, the IT glitch has been fully rectified. Investigations into the causes are ongoing, but a hacker attack can be ruled out.
