89-Year-Old Crashes Car into Ravine and Dies

On Friday afternoon, an 89-year-old man from Laupen ZH died in a tragic accident. While driving downhill, he veered off the left side of the road and crashed through a bush, falling 60 to 80 meters into a ravine. His car landed in a stream, and rescue workers were only able to confirm his death. The fire department set up oil barriers downstream to prevent contamination of the water. An investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident has been launched by the state prosecutor and police.nnnnnnnn
