The Guardia di Finanza is investigating a Swiss national and three other suspects for fraudulent bankruptcy. 41 properties, including offices, industrial plants and building land worth 17 million euros, were confiscated by order of a court in Rimini as a precautionary measure.

The suspects include three financial advisors, the Swiss national, a Bulgarian and an Italian resident in Calabria but with offices in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.

The company brokers, who are facing charges of fraudulent concealment of bankruptcy, have operational offices between Rome, Rimini and Cosenza, as reported by the Italian news agency Ansa. According to investigations by the economic and financial police, the suspects planned to remove the company's real estate assets, i.e. warehouses, offices and land, from the control of the bankruptcy judge.

The company in question specialized in the production of fruit and vegetables and fruit juices. In mid-December, a judge opened liquidation proceedings against the unnamed company.
