Alleged murder in Binningen BL – suspect arrested

A person was found dead in Binningen BL on Tuesday evening. She was presumed to have been killed. The Basel cantonal police arrested a suspect, as was reported in a press release on Wednesday.
Shortly after 8.30 p.m., the Operations Center received a report of a dead person in a property on Allschwilerweg. The emergency services found a lifeless person who has not yet been identified. According to initial findings, she was the victim of a violent crime, as the police report.
The suspect was arrested on the spot. The course of events and the exact time of the crime are still under investigation. The public prosecutor's office will apply for the suspect to be remanded in custody.
