Both occupants of a small plane crash have perished.

On Saturday afternoon, two people were killed in a small plane crash in Grenchen, Switzerland. The cause of the crash and the identities of the victims were still being investigated on Sunday morning. The Swiss police were informed of the crash at 4:15 pm and the plane had crashed shortly before landing on a meadow near the airport. A large number of emergency services, including the police, fire brigade, rescue services, a Care Team, the prosecutor's office, the Safety Investigation Authority and the Federal Police, were present at the crash site. Shortly before midnight, they finished their work. The police are looking for witnesses and are interested in any recordings. The final identification of the two occupants had not been completed by Sunday morning.
