Burkart calls for a liberal change in policy

FDP President Thierry Burkart has committed the party delegates to a liberal policy change. The FDP must fight for the "liberal success model" and take a stand for those who are willing to work and commit themselves.
The FDP is the most liberal and bourgeois party in the country, said the Aargau Council of States on Saturday in Tenero TI. He defined "bourgeois" in the sense that citizens must be protected from the state and its encroachments. This is where the FDP was the clearest defender.
The party president complained that the coalition of the "demanding", who wanted more and more solutions from the state rather than taking on personal responsibility, was growing. The FDP, on the other hand, was committed to the laborious and thankless austerity policy. "The backbone of the country is being fleeced," he said. However, the FDP is on the side of those who are prepared to stand up for themselves.
