Bus and streetcar services are running normally again in Basel

Bus and streetcar services in Basel returned to normal on Sunday night. All lines were running regularly again, the Basel public transport company announced on Saturday morning.
While on Thursday evening this was mainly due to roads and cables being blocked by cars and branches, on Friday it was mainly parts of the overhead line covered in snow and ice that prevented a rapid resumption of operations, as reported by the Basler Verkehrsbetriebe (BVB).
Thanks to the efforts of various people, the last streetcar lines were able to resume regular service late on Friday evening. The Basel bus network was able to gradually resume operations on Friday morning.
