20,820 people visited the exhibition on the work of Titeuf creator Zep at Saint-Maurice Castle. This makes it the third most visited exhibition at the site after the exhibitions on the Smurfs (2023) and the Petzi series (2018).

The exhibition was particularly notable for the range of works on display, announced the director of the castle, Philippe Duvanel, on Monday. Not only the figure Titeuf, which made Zep famous, was on display at the castle. A wide range of other drawings, original pieces and documents by the artist, whose real name is Philippe Chappuis, were also on display.

Asterix takes the lead

In 2025, Saint-Maurice Castle will be dedicating an exhibition to the French comic hero Asterix from April 5 to November 16. According to the press release, this is the first major exhibition on the character created by author René Goscinny and illustrator Albert Uderzo in Switzerland.

It takes visitors back in time to the beginnings of the comic series. There is also a focus on Asterix's journey to the Helvetians.

Asterix is considered an icon of francophone comics. Today, the little hero from Gaul can look back on over 65 years of history. This includes 40 albums, which have been translated into 117 languages and dialects, as well as 16 animated and feature films.
