Contract for Zermatt Unplugged extended by five years

The Valais acoustic festival Zermatt Unplugged and the Zermatt-Matterhorn destination are extending their contract by five years. The contract runs from 2025 to 2029, as the organizers announced on Monday.
The contract regulates the mutual financial obligations as well as communication and in-kind services. At the same time, a long-term collaboration with the local mountain railroads has been agreed, as the press release explains further.
The contract was signed just before the start of the 15th edition of Zermatt Unplugged on April 9. A total of 145 shows on 17 stages are planned. The festival runs until April 13. Last year, around 30,000 visitors came to the mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn.
