Courier arrested in Lucerne with 500 grams of drugs in his body

A drug courier who was transporting over half a kilogram of cocaine in his body was arrested in Lucerne on Monday. The 38-year-old Nigerian had swallowed 42 capsules filled with drugs in order to smuggle them from France to Switzerland.
As the Lucerne public prosecutor's office announced on Friday, the Lucerne police were able to apprehend the man in cooperation with the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security. The "body packer" had entered Switzerland by train, according to the communiqué.
A person who was with the drug courier was also arrested on suspicion of being an accomplice.
