Cyclist dies in accident with truck in Nussbaumen AG

A cyclist died on Friday afternoon in Nussbaumen AG following a collision with a truck. The 81-year-old succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident, as reported by the Aargau cantonal police on Saturday.
The accident occurred at around 12.00 noon on Hertensteinerstrasse, according to a statement. A 58-year-old truck driver was driving towards the town center when the collision occurred at the intersection with Kirchweg.
The road was closed until 5.30 p.m. for recovery work and police investigations. The public prosecutor's office responsible has opened an investigation, it said. The police are looking for witnesses.
