DER Touristik Suisse has its eye on its competitor Hotelplan. As is well known, this is to be sold by the current owner Migros. "Of course we are looking at it. It would be strange if we didn't," said the head of DER Touristik Suisse, Stephanie Schulze zur Wiesch, to the media in Zurich on Tuesday.
But as far as she knows, the sales process has not even started yet, said the German, who took over as head of DER Touristik Suisse last June. Once the sales process has started, a decision will be made together with the parent company as to "whether and if so what and at what price", she said.
"But these are completely unlaid eggs. We want to start the process first," said Schulze zur Wiesch.
Two weeks ago, the new Migros CEO Mario Irminger told the news agency AWP that the sales process for the travel subsidiary Hotelplan Group was still in the early stages. The sale should be completed by the end of the year.
